How to “unlock” the renewable energy sector in Sudan?

Clean Energy 4 Africa team, represented by Dr. Mohamed Alhaj, founder and director, and Akmal Alsagh, programs manager, took part in the “Sustainable Pathways to the Clean Energy Transition” conference, organized by the Sudan University of Science and Technology and hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research on December 21-22, 2022.

The conference highlighted key insights into the challenges of the clean energy transition in Sudan and the important role technology, policies, youth, the private sector, and financial institutions play in this transition.

Dr. Mohamed was a keynote speaker during the opening session, where he spoke about how to “unlock” the renewable energy sector in Sudan. His keynote remarks presented an overview of the energy situation in Sudan, recent market developments, challenges and gaps, and recommendations for the stakeholders. See the presentation below.
